Pemberdayaan Perawat Dalam Meningkatkan Kepuasan Pasien IGD Melalui Peningkatan Pengetahuan Tentang Patient Centered Care
Abstract
Pasien yang datang ke rumah sakit khususnya di IGD RS PKU Muhamadiyah Sukoharjo mengalami kondisi gawat darurat, kelemahan fisik serta mental, sehingga sangat berhadap mendapatkan pelayanan kesehatan yang memuaskan demi mengembalikan kondisi kesehatannya. Berdasarkan hal tersebut perlu adanya upaya dalam meningkatkan kepuasan pasien melalui model pelayanan keperawatan yang tepat, diantaranya adalah dengan menerapkan Patient Centered Care (PCC). PCC merupakan model pendekatan kepada pasien dalam membina hubungan timbal balik antara perawat dengan pasien sehingga mengurangi konflik dari minimnya informasi dan komunikasi, mendukung pasien dalam mengambil keputusan sehingga pasien merasa kebutuhan dan keinginannya dihormati. Tujuan dilakukan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan perawat tentang PCC yang dampaknya mempengaruhi tingkat kepuasan pasien. Metode yang dilakukan pemberian informasi atau edukasi dengan ceramah dan diskusi materi. Sasaran kegiatan merupakan perawat IGD, dan terbuka juga untuk perawat non IGD. Hasil kegiatan diketahui bahwa perawat sebagai peserta kegiatan mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan diantaranya konsep PCC (dari 73,9% menjadi 95,7%), tujuan PCC (dari 76,3% menjadi 82,6%), dimensi PCC (dari 56,2% menjadi 82,6%), konsep inti PCC (dari 52,2% menjadi 60,9%), fokus PCC (dari 69,6% menjadi 95,7%) model of care (dari 60,9% menjadi 82,6%) fokus pelayanan (dari 78,3% menjadi 93,7%). Kesimpulan adalah adanya peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai konsep materi PCC yang selanjutnya pelayanan keperawatan berbasis Patient Centered Care (PCC) dapat diterapkan, sebagai upaya meningkatkan kepuasan pasien.
Patients who come to the hospital, especially the emergency room at PKU Muhamadiyah Sukoharjo Hospital, experience emergency conditions, physical and mental weakness, so they really hope to get satisfactory health services to restore their health condition. Based on this, efforts are needed to increase patient satisfaction through appropriate nursing service models, including implementing Patient Centered Care (PCC). PCC is a model of approach to patients in fostering reciprocal relationships between nurses and patients so as to reduce conflict from lack of information and communication, supporting patients in making decisions so that patients feel their needs and desires are respected. The aim of this activity is to increase nurses' knowledge about PCC, the impact of which influences the level of patient satisfaction. The method used is to provide information or education through lectures and discussion of material. The target of the activity is ER nurses, and is also open to non-ER nurses. The results of the activity showed that nurses as activity participants experienced an increase in knowledge including the concept of PCC (from 73.9% to 95.7%), the purpose of PCC (from 76.3% to 82.6%), the dimensions of PCC (from 56.2% to 82.6%), PCC core concepts (from 52.2% to 60.9%), PCC focus (from 69.6% to 95.7%) model of care (from 60.9% to 82.6 %) service focus (from 78.3% to 93.7%). The conclusion is that there is an increase in knowledge regarding the concept of PCC material, then Patient Centered Care (PCC) based nursing services can be implemented, as an effort to increase patient satisfaction.
