Pengaruh Peer Education Terhadap Efikasi diri Pada Remaja dalam Penanganan Pre Menstrual Syndrome

Abstract

Siklus menstruasi merupakan siklus yang dialami oleh dimulai dari usia remaja putri hingga dewasa. Sebelum mengalami menstruasi, sejumlah remaja putrid biasanya mengalami rasa tidak nyaman atau istilah populernya premenstrual syndrome (PMS) sehingga seringkali menganggu aktivitas sehari - hari. Penanganan PMS dapat dilakukan oleh remaja secara mandiri dengan meningkatkan efikasi diri, salah satunya dengan metode peer education. Tujuan mengetahui pengaruh peer education terhadap self efficacy dalam penanganan PMS Pada Remaja. Desain penelitian menggunakan quasi experiment dengan rancangan pre-post test without control menggunakan e booklet PMS. Sampel pada penelitian ini sejumlah 60 remaja putri. Instrumen dalam penelitian iniadalahkuesioner dan standard operasianal prosedur (SOP) Peer education dan Self Eficacy. Analisis data menggunakan uji Wilxocon. Hasil penelitian menghasilkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan dan sikap remaja dalam menangani PMS setelah dilaksanakan pendidikan kesehatan. Selain itu, terdapat perbedaan rerata efikasi responden sebelum dan sesudah dilaksanakan pendidikan kesehatan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan referensi dan menjadi sumber informasi mengenai penanganan PMS dengan metode peer education.

 

The menstrual cycle is a cycle experienced by a woman from adolescence to adulthood. Before menstruation, a number of women usually experience discomfort or the popular term premenstrual syndrome (PMS) so that it often interferes with daily activities. The handling of PMS can be done by adolescents independently by increasing self-efficacy, one of which is the peer education method. The purpose of knowing the effect of peer education on self-efficacy in handling PMS in Adolescents. The research design used a quasi-experimental design with a pre-post test without control design using the PMS e booklet. The sample in this study were 60 young women. The instruments in this study were questionnaires and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for peer education and self-efficacy. Data analysis using Wilxocon test. The results showed that there were differences in the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents in dealing with PMS after health education was carried out. In addition, there is a difference in the average efficacy of respondents before and after being given health education. The results of this study can be used as a reference and a source of information regarding the handling of PMS with the peer education method.
