PERSEPSI MAHASISWA TENTANG PENGGUNAAN METODE PEMBELAJARAN PADA JURUSAN KEBIDANAN DI KAMPUS III POLITEKNIK KESEHATAN SURAKARTA

Hasil survey pendahuluan diperoleh bahwa penggunaan metode pembelajaran belum maksimal, metode yang digunakan sebagian sudah bervariasi dan ada juga yang masih monoton. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap fenomena persepsi mahasiswa tentang metode pembelajaran yang digunakan pada Jurusan Kebidanan di Kampus III Poltekkes Surakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan sampel secara purposive sampling dengan jenis sampling maximum variation sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data berdasarkan teknik Diskusi Kelompok Terarah (DKT) dan Wawancara Mendalam (WM). Hasil penelitian persepsi mahasiswa tentang pengertian dan manfaat metode pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa semua informan sudah menjelaskan dengan baik, diantarannya pengertian metode pembelajaran yaitu cara dosen memberikan pelajaran, cara mengimplementasikan teknik, dan strategi pembelajaran. Manfaat metode pembelajaran untuk menghilangkan kejenuhan mahasiswa, mengaktifkan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran. Jenis-jenis metode pembelajaran yang digunakan dosen, sebagian besar informan mengatakan bahwa jenis metode pembelajaran yang sering digunakan dosen yaitu metode ceramah, tanya jawab, diskusi, brainstorming, role play, simulasi, demonstrasi, resitasi, kerja kelompok. Metode pembelajaran yang jarang digunakan yaitu jigzaw. Metode pembelajaran lapangan yaitu ronde, bed site teaching, mentorship dan preseptorship. Metode pembelajaran yang disenangi dan tidak disenangi pada prinsipnya semua metode baik tetapi tergantung dosen dalam cara menyampaikan. Harapan mahasiswa agar dosen mengenalkan dan menerapkan metode pembelajaran agar mahasiswa dan dosen lebih aktif. Kesimpulan adalah persepsi mahasiswa tentang pengertian dan manfaat metode pembelajaran adalah cara, strategi, metode dosen untuk mengajar. Jenis-jenis metode pembelajaran yang digunakan dosen yaitu ceramah, tanya jawab, diskusi, brainstorming, role play, driil, resitasi, kelompok, ronde, bet site teaching, jigzaw, simulasi, demonstrasi, mentorship dan preseptorship. Metode pembelajaran yang disenangi yaitu diskusi, jigzaw, brainstorming, demonstrasi, simulasi, role play, ceramah tanya jawab. Metode yang tidak disenangi yaitu ceramah, presentasi kelompok, diskusi, tanya jawab. Harapan penggunaan metode pembelajaran yaitu mahasiswa sudah termotivasi dari metode yang digunakan tetapi perlu mengembangkan metode.

ABSTRACT

Preliminary survey results showed that the use of learning methods is not maximized, the method used some already varied and some are still monotonous. This study aims to reveal the phenomenon of students’ perceptions of learning methods used in the Department of Obstetrics at the Polytechnic Campus III Surakarta. The method used is qualitative design with sample collection technique purposive sampling with maximum sampling type of sampling variation. Data collection techniques based technique Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Depth Interviews (WM). Results of research students’ perceptions about the meaning and benefits of learning methods shows that all informants have explained well, diantarannya understanding learning method that is the way the lecturer giving a lesson, how to implement techniques and learning strategies. Benefits of learning methods to eliminate boredom students, to enable students in learning. The types of learning methods used lecturers, most of the informants said that this type of learning method is a method frequently used lecturer lecture, question and answer, discussion, brainstorming, role plays, simulations, demonstrations, recitation, group work. Learning methods are rarely used that jigzaw. Field learning method that is round, bed site teaching, mentorship and preseptorship. Learning methods are favored and unpopular in principle all methods are good but depends lecturer in how to deliver. Expectations of students to faculty to introduce and implement methods of learning so that students and faculty more active. The conclusion is the students’ perceptions about the meaning and benefits of teaching methods is the way, strategies, methods for teaching faculty. The types of learning methods used lecturers that lecture, question and answer, discussion, brainstorming, role play, driil, recitation, group, round, bet site teaching, jigzaw, simulations, demonstrations, mentorship and preseptorship. Favored learning methods that discussion, jigzaw, brainstorming, demonstrations, simulations, role plays, lectures frequently asked questions. The method is unpopular ie lectures, group presentations, discussions, question and answer. Hope the use of learning methods that students are motivated from the method used but need to develop methods.
